Greetings Everyone Welcome to our 4th Progress Update! As you may have noticed, visuals on our blog post site have been slightly altered. Now let's get into what we have been working on.   Blog ● Full re-design of the blog post site ● Fixed a few bugs with opening blogs ● You can now open multiple blogs ● Better Responsiveness   Vexical ● Plugin is now compiled using JDK 14 ● Updated server version to 1.16.3 (You may connect using 1.8 - 1.16.3)   Performance ● Performance improvements when joining and works A-Sync ● Minor scoreboard changes ● Most of the caching system is now running A-Sync ● A system that can still do stuff even when the Main Thread is locked [WIP] ● Buying/selling in shop is now slightly faster ● Protection system got some optimizations ● Spawner Cache & Skull System are a lot faster ● Compression System (Islands will be the first to use this)   Spawner ● Sneak + Right-Click to redeem all skulls ● Added a new system that allows us to add more spawners for every type of mob at any given time (future mobs included!)   Island ● A new System that allows us to rollback an island in 2hr increments for up to 7 Days [WIP] ● Cobble Generator now also produces ores and is instanteous ● Instant Island Worth System that updates as you place each block   Quests ● Added the first set of quests ● Added an easy tool for admins to add new sets of quests ● Previous Progress will be saved when we add a new quest, meaning you don't have to do the whole quest set again

Progress Update #3 1 Sep | 9:00 PM

Greetings Everyone Welcome to the third progress update. We've worked very hard this month. So what happened since the last update? We launched an Internal Beta where all staff members could participate in. We are planning on doing a Beta with more people, however we don't know when at this point. Since then we have fixed 54 bugs, improved the servers' performance and added features.   Server ● 1.8 - 1.16.2 Support ● Now running a modified version of Paper ● Server timings have gotten better with every update   Performance ● ~2x faster in general. ● 0 server crashes since start of the beta   Chat ● @Mentions in chat (ex. @AsianSquid, will notify me via a "ding" sound) ● Showcasing your Items in chat [i]/[item] ● Anti-Links (You can't send any links in chat to advertise) ● /ignore | Ignores the player (No chat messages) ● /unignore | Unignores the player   Island ● Island Value Recode (Faster & can instantly recalculate if we change block values)   Auction House ● Sorting is now faster ● Faster Updates in the inventory ● Buying an item is a lot faster now ● Now when you sell an Item it gives you a message in chat with the item ● You can now see who bought your Auction and what Item he bought.   Shop ● New GUI ● Admin Panel to change shop prices. (For balancing) ● /shop settings | Opens a menu where you can change some of your buy/sell settings ● Undo function for buy & sell (Only for the last purchase and you can only undo when the inventory is still open)   Minions ● Small recode to make it easier to code ● Performance improvements ● No longer needs caching   Spawner ● Unstack menu instead of shift right click (In the is panel) ● More work on the spawner management command (Add/remove/watch your spawners in a GUI)   MobStacking ● Complete recode ● It's now a lot more efficient & faster ● Mobs will be stacked onto the oldest mob spawned of that type ● 9999x Stack Limit (This might get changed for balancing)   PVP ● 1.8 PVP and some other small changes.   Challenges ● Challenge create System for admins ● Challenge Progress tracking   Vanish ● Players get removed from the tab list ● Can't pickup items ● Items in hand can no longer be seen   Baltop ● A simple balance top command which displays the top 10 richest players on the server

Progress Update #2 1 Aug | 9:00 PM

Greetings Everyone! This is our second Progress Update to show you what we've been working on in the past 30 days. We have made A LOT of progress stability-wise that you aren't going to see in this post but maybe we'll make an extra post soon, explaining a bit more of the technical stuff. Our main focus for the past 30 days was to get the server to a playable state and start an internal/closed beta. And that is exactly what we are going to do in a few days. The internal beta will only include staff members to make sure the server is playable and all critical bugs are fixed. The closed beta will start as soon as we are done testing internally and have enough content Without furthe ado, let's get right into it!   Vexical NPCS ● A new custom plugin that replaces Citizens ● Natively made for version 1.16.1 and supports players till 1.8 ● This will allow us to support every new version of minecraft and optimize and integrate the plugin better than we were able to do with Citizens Citizens has a lot of functionality but a lot of the features are just useless in our use case We have made this decision to ensure good performance and flexibility ● Full skin support (Layers toggleable) ● Right Click actions ● NPC management system   Vexical Spawner ● Skull progression system (Collect skulls to unlock the next tier spawner) ● Buy price increases by 20% everytime you buy (Calculated from default price) ● /spawner management | Allows you to manage your spawners without being close to them (We all hate being stuck in our own Mob Grinder) ● /spawner list | Lists your Spawners with some info (e. g. Stacksize) ● /spawner(s) | Shortcut to the Spawner Shop   Vexical TPA ● Simple custom TPA plugin ● /tpa | Sends a teleportation request to the player ● /tpaccept | Accepts the request from a player ● /tpdeny | Denys the request from a player ● /tpahere | Sends a teleportation request to a player to teleport to you ● /tpatoggle | Disables tpa requests ● When sending multiple TPA requests all the previous ones get cancelled (Protected against spam and we are looking for ways to make sure it doesnt interupt the experience)   Performance ● Server Startup time 50% faster ● A new teleportation system that works Asynchronously and pre-loads the chunks ● Opening inventories is much much faster ● More work on "delayed" database updates ● Player Join/Leave performance optimized (Join time is 2x faster)   Vexical Nametags ● Easy way to edit the tag above a player's head ● Supports prefix, name and suffix changes ● Allows for instantaneous name changes without relogs etc   Vexical Tablist ● Tablist now sorted by rank ● New Features for events and more ● Extra features for every user like only showing friends   Vexical Island ● More work on the Island Role/Permission system ● /is lock | Now kicks all of the players currently on your Island ● /is border | This allows you to add a border to your Island

Greetings Everyone! Today we are releasing our first monthly post   As we're getting closer to Season II we want to show you what we've been working on and want to get your feedback & suggestions. Our aim with these monthly posts is to keep you guys informed and improve the server's quality. We will try to push out a monthly post on the 1st of each month. Let's get into what we've been working on for the past 30 days!   Discord Bot ● Ticket Bot | This ticket bot will be used as our main way of support. Open a ticket by reacting to a message in a channel. A new channel will be opened exclusively to you and all staff members. ● Staff Bot | A tool for staff to fix bugs and have access to the server without the need to open Minecraft on their PC. ● Vote Bot | This bot allows you to get notificated once you can vote again and you'll even receive your rewards even when you're not online.   Spawner ● Spawner Stacking | This does not only reduce lag but you can also stack all spawners of a type in one spot allowing for more compact mob farms. ● Skull Redeeming | To unlock the next spawner you need to redeem a specific amount of skulls of the previous tier. ● Spawner Shop | Special shop featuring a progressive unlock system for spawner.   Island ● Island Value | Updates instantaneous and added a new way to obtain island value without using In-Game money. ● Island Roles | Every role has different permissions and prevents new island members from griefing. Island Leaders are able to change permissions for each and every role.   AuctionHouse ● GUI | Made the GUI much faster and in general better.   Performance ● Inventory | Massively decreased latency. ● Scoreboard | Instant updates while increasing the performance. ● Database | Updates to the database will be sent as a whole "package" instead of every single change. ● Minions | Loaded and unloaded if a player of that island is online or not   Season Length Vexical Season Info: Once Season II starts we will not reset the server if there is no need to. If the players don't want a reset we will not reset the server. If the economy hasn't completely inflated we will not reset the server. And most importantly we will not regularly just to push up the purchases of buycraft items as we don't want to put pressure on players to buy items every two months again.
